Channel your inner-survivalist with the sleek 163BK Bushcrafter, a modern bushcraft fixed-blade reimagined as a premium variant to Benchmade's original 162 designed by Shane Sibert. Built for the trail — or straying off of it — the new 163 has been elevated with new blade geometry and handle ergonomics, premium finishes like a lightweight carbon fiber handle, and a modular molded sheath design with push button retention release. From fire prep, batoning, and feather sticking, to shelter building and food prep around camp, the 163 Bushcrafter begs you to be outside.
CPM-Cruwear Super Strong Tool Steel (63-65 HRC)
An air-hardenable, non-stainless tool steel that has an exceptional balance of extreme toughness, strength, and wear-resistance, making it an excellent choice for general purpose, hard-use cutting tools.
Carbon Fiber
Multiple layers of crisscrossing carbon fiber filaments laminated together to create a strong and surprisingly lightweight substrate with exceptional stability and style.
Drop Point
Drops off the spine to the tip. Tip height is typically below the center line on the blade.
Quinn Knives' take:
Benchmade took the already legendary Bushcrafter and buffed it up even further. The carbon fiber handle almost looks too nice to be on this hard-use blade, but the black-on-black look is really slick and discreet. The ultra-tough Cruwear blade wears a black Cerakote finish and the new sheath allows for drop or scout carry options. This is a forever knife!
