CPM-D2 Tool Steel (HRC 60-62)
This powder-metal version of conventional D2 steel benefits greatly from a smaller, more homogeneous carbide structure than its counterpart, resulting in substantial improvements in toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. 

Tanto
This shape is easily identified by the angular lines. The knife edge is flat and transitions with a hard break in the angle from the tip to the primary edge.

Grivory
Glass-filled thermoplastic composite known for being extremely light and curable. Widely used for automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications.

Quinn Knives' take:
Most customers notice two things right away with the Redoubt: how light it is, and how much texture the grip has. This hard-use knife clocks in at only 3.7oz so while tough, it is also pretty darn light. In addition, the Grivory handle has some fairly aggressive texturing, so when you require a secure grip, this has it. This  variant features the tanto blade shape, which in my opinion, really changes the character of the Redoubt and leans into its Benchmade Black Class rating.
