Quinn Knives' take:
I'm really liking what I'm seeing from Hogue these days, and the Deka is a great example of a well-made, nice handling daily carry. The 20CV holds an edge incredibly well and the ABLE Lock allows the knife to open and close super smoothly. A nice knife.

About 20CV Steel:
20CV steel is a premium stainless steel known for its exceptional wear resistance, edge retention, and corrosion resistance, making it a top choice for high-performance knives and cutting tools. It features a composition that includes 1.9% carbon, 20% chromium, 4% vanadium, and 1% molybdenum, which contributes to its remarkable hardness and durability. The high chromium content ensures excellent resistance to rust and staining, while the significant vanadium content provides outstanding wear resistance and toughness. 20CV steel is favored in both custom and production knives for its ability to maintain a sharp edge over prolonged use, making it ideal for demanding applications where longevity and reliability are crucial.
