Pain is Beauty
Who in this hobby doesn't bear the marks of our steel? Fitting then that our inaugural Quinn Knives Collective offering is titled "Pain is Beauty", with haunting imagery from the dark mind of rising Las Vegas artist: SarahxShadows.

Featuring three laser engravings on the USA-made Hogue Deka platform, "Pain is Beauty" is highlighted by the penetrating gaze of a tortured soul on the primary face of the CPM-20CV steel. Sarah created this artwork exclusively for the blade, based on a previous 14" x 17" alcohol marker and gel pen piece. Each knife is engraved in house at Quinn Knives with the primary face art, backside of blade SxS + QKC mark, and finished off with a detail X-star pocket-clip hit. As a thank you, each "Pain is Beauty" knife also includes an autographed appreciation card by SarahxShadows.

Quinn Knives's take:
The Hogue Deka was chosen for the SxS + QKC release for two reasons: (1) Hogue knives are made in Henderson Nevada (Las Vegas), where SarahxShadows is based and (2) it is the exact same knife that Sarah carries on the daily. I personally have been carrying and testing this knife for the past few months and have been impressed. 20CV is know for its fantastic edge retention and corrosion resistance and right out of the box this blade is sharp. Surprisingly so. In addition the Deka is lightweight but doesn't sacrifice rigidity thanks to the G10 scales, which I like, and the ABLE lock means it is super easy to open and close.

My goal with the Quinn Knives Collective is to elevate an already great knife by showcasing amazing collaborators via stand-out artwork and engraving. You already love quality knives and now you have even more reason to be proud of the daily while supporting talented artist and boutique makers.

About SarahxShadows:
Sarah is Las Vegas Nevada-based artist who specializes in macabre, creepy, emotional, and thought-provoking themes. Sarah has quickly established herself as "one-to-watch" with work spanning multiple styles, including her mind-bending ability to draw simultaneously, ambidextrously, with both hands working in complete unison. Her dark surrealism works are primarily done using ballpoint pens, alcohol markers, and/or felt tip pens, but she is always working to expand her craft and learn new techniques.

Every engraving is inspected by Quinn Knives LLC to ensure it meets our standards prior to shipping. Each laser engraved knife may vary slightly from the images shown, due to uncontrollable factors in the engraving process due to steel variances, coating variances, environmental factors, etc. Quinn Knives Collective pieces are solely in-house custom artwork projects by Quinn Knives LLC and produced outside of the OEM manufacturer. No blade coating is impervious to wear and the wear rate is wholly dependent on blade usage. Each end user is responsible for the wear rate of their individual blade and Quinn Knives LLC is not liable for any blade or engraving wear/damage/degradation.
