1095 Blade Steel
Jeff Morgan works exclusively in 1095, a high-carbon steel known for its excellent hardness and edge retention, thanks to its approximately 0.95% carbon content. It achieves a significant Rockwell hardness of around 55-58 HRC, providing a sharp, durable edge suitable for heavy-duty tasks. 1095 is also prized for its toughness, allowing it to withstand impact and stress without chipping. Primarily used in fixed-blade knives, hunting knives, survival knives, and traditional weapons, 1095 steel offers a good balance of performance and affordability, making it a popular choice among knife makers and enthusiasts. Due to 1095 being a high-carbon steel, we recommend you dry it off completely after use and coat the blade with a thin application of a penetrating-style oil to help stave off corrosion.

Macassar Ebony
Macassar Ebony is a dense, exotic hardwood native to Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia. It is characterized by its striking dark brown to black heartwood, often interlaced with contrasting reddish or golden-brown streaks. The wood is highly valued for its fine texture, smooth finish, and natural luster, making it popular for high-end furniture, veneers, and musical instruments. Due to its beauty and rarity, Macassar Ebony is considered a luxury material and is often used in small, decorative applications.

Quinn Knives' take:
This is a great everyday carry sized fixed blade that I'd gladly wear on my hip. The ebony wood has a nice rich, dark finish to it, really contrasting well with the 1095 steel blade. If you are looking for a 'do-it-all' workhorse knife out on the ranch, or out in the field, you'd do well to nab this one!
