1095 Blade Steel
Jeff Morgan works exclusively in 1095, a high-carbon steel known for its excellent hardness and edge retention, thanks to its approximately 0.95% carbon content. It achieves a significant Rockwell hardness of around 55-58 HRC, providing a sharp, durable edge suitable for heavy-duty tasks. 1095 is also prized for its toughness, allowing it to withstand impact and stress without chipping. Primarily used in fixed-blade knives, hunting knives, survival knives, and traditional weapons, 1095 steel offers a good balance of performance and affordability, making it a popular choice among knife makers and enthusiasts. Due to 1095 being a high-carbon steel, we recommend you dry it off completely after use and coat the blade with a thin application of a penetrating-style oil to help stave off corrosion.

Tigerwood
Tigerwood is a tropical hardwood known for its dramatic, striped appearance, with rich reddish-brown tones and dark, wavy streaks resembling a tiger's pattern. Clip Point
A clip point blade features a concave or straight "clipped" section near the tip, giving it a sharp and defined point. I slapped the "Pirate Knife" moniker on this one because, well, it looks like something a roguish buccaneer might be carrying!
