1095 Blade Steel
Jeff Morgan works exclusively in 1095, a high-carbon steel known for its excellent hardness and edge retention, thanks to its approximately 0.95% carbon content. It achieves a significant Rockwell hardness of around 55-58 HRC, providing a sharp, durable edge suitable for heavy-duty tasks. 1095 is also prized for its toughness, allowing it to withstand impact and stress without chipping. Primarily used in fixed-blade knives, hunting knives, survival knives, and traditional weapons, 1095 steel offers a good balance of performance and affordability, making it a popular choice among knife makers and enthusiasts. Due to 1095 being a high-carbon steel, we recommend you dry it off completely after use and coat the blade with a thin application of a penetrating-style oil to help stave off corrosion.

Tigerwood
Tigerwood is a tropical hardwood known for its dramatic, striped appearance, with rich reddish-brown tones and dark, wavy streaks resembling a tiger's pattern. It is highly durable and resistant to wear, making it suitable for flooring, decking, and fine woodworking projects. The wood’s natural luster and striking grain make it a popular choice for decorative applications that emphasize its unique look.

Clip Point
A clip point blade features a concave or straight "clipped" section near the tip, giving it a sharp and defined point. This design allows for better control and precision in detailed tasks, such as piercing or slicing. The clipped area creates a thinner, sharper tip, making it ideal for tasks that require a fine point, while still retaining enough belly for versatile cutting.

Quinn Knives' take:
I slapped the "Pirate Knife" moniker on this one because, well, it looks like something a roguish buccaneer might be carrying! Even if you aren't sailing the high seas, this knife is equally at home at the ranch or in the woods. I love the organic shaping of the knife from the very tip of the steel, all the way to the curving back of the handle. Coupled with the bold tigerwood, this is a nice all-around EDC option for you.
